National Highway 108 Slope Stabilization
China National Highway 108 (G108) is a National Highway which connects Beijing through Chengdu to Kunming . In Beijing it is known as Jingyuan Road.
ONTON injection piles (self drilling anchors, SDA) are used for stabilising the slopes and embankments in this project. The injection pile as soil nail can reinforce soil with the fixing protective netting.
Nuozhadu Power Plant – Slope Protection
Nuozhadu hydropower is located in Lantsang downstream, which is the biggest power plant in Yunnan province. It is the world’s third at the same dam type with the capacity 9 x 65MW . The total investment of Nuozhadu power plant is about 61.1 billions.
ONTON supplied self-drilling soil nails to this power plant project. The Drill Hollow Bar is a fully threaded self-drilling anchor method which can be drilled and grouted into loose or collapsing soils without the need for a casing. It can be used in slope stabilization of Enpro Plant or Highway.
Tunnel Rock Bolts Using Case: Mt Erlang Tunnel of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway
Mt Erlang Tunnel was excavated by the new Austrian Tunneling method (NATM / SEM).
The designed maximum horizontal stress was 50MPa and the measured value was 32.7MPa.
Mt Erlang Tunnel Location
Shotcrete- bolt support is the main method in the construction of Mt Erlang Tunnel. It requires a lot of high-quality rock bolts to shore up the rock and soil. As the essential component of NATM, the anchor bolts are chosen depending on the rock quality designation and the type of excavation.
Mt Erlang Tunnel is one of the typically projects ONTON participated. The rock anchor bolts are timely supplied and its good performance ensured the smooth implementation of the tunneling.
This tunnel construction won the Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize, which is the biggest prize in Chinese Civil Engineering.
Hollow Bar Ground Anchors are supplied to G4 NTHS Expressway
The Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway is a 2,272.65 kilometers long expressway that connects the Chinese cities of Beijing and Shenzhen. When the expressway was completed in October 2004, it was China’s first complete north-south expressway route.
The Drill Injection Hollow Bar Ground Anchors are used for spiling in the NATM tunneling of this expressway (e.g. Mt Wulong, Baolin, Danjiashao and Shimenao tunnels). The Drill Hollow Bar Ground Anchor provides a practical rock bolt that is quick and easy to install through fracture or broken ground. This Drill system method is available with a range of harder drill bits (Tungsten Carbide: button or chisel) for efficient drilling in stronger material.
Tunnel portal stabilization
In the construction of G4 tunnels, the spiles provide a protective canopy, tto enable the heading of a tunnel to be advanced without the risk of falling rocks. This is the advantage which New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM) brings.
Spiles for support of tunnel crown
Tunnel Spiles and Forepoling are one of applications of hollow bar ground anchors. This rock bolt is used in the fast, single-step anchoring system like CTS, DYWI and so on. Soil Nails, Prestressed Ground Anchors and Micro Piles are the other applications.
